About

Ranked as one of thirty-five “great schools for psychology” by the latest Princeton Review, the psychology department focuses on psychology as a science. The small class size at Roanoke College enables the psychology department to offer top-notch training in research, analysis, and other scientific skills that is often absent at large universities. Every psychology major, for example, experiences first-hand how to carry out an experimental study. Many students go on to carry out independent research projects and present their findings at regional and national conferences. These experiences are invaluable for gaining acceptance into graduate school. Contact us if you would like to learn more about the department.
